Rabbi Alam is known as MD. MD Alam is the
National Chairman of US National Democratic Party Asian American Caucus. Alam
established 27 state chapters of Asian American Democratic Caucus. Alam is a DNC-NDECC
Member. Alam is the founder of Missouri Democratic Party Asian American Caucus.
MDPAAC is a statewide political organization. Alam established 11 county
chapters of MDPAAC in MO. Alam is the President of North American Bangladeshi
Association for Bangladesh. Alam is involved with many activities and communities
based services. Alam served as the Executive Secretary of the Santa Fee
Elementary PTA in Kansas
City. Alam was the President
of the Board of directors of Loma Vista west. Alam is the CEO of Minority Directed
Small Business. Alam served in the Kansas City Property Maintenance Appeal
Board as a Board of Member. Alam is a Board member of The Kansas City News. Alam
is the President of Urban American Academy school board. Currently Alam is a
substitute teacher at Derrick Thomas Academy in Kansas
City. Alam is a
veteran of Iraq war, served in Germany and traveled to 48 countries.
During 2008 Presidential election Alam worked as satellite
campaign manager for Obama in Kansas City area. Alam’s business suite was Campaign Office for Obama.
Alam’s political involvement, last seven years of activities in the Democratic
Party Asian American Caucus have brought an unparalleled leadership in the
great state Missouri. Last seven years Alam attended all most every single
event state & Nation-wide. Alam’s goal is to serve and be a great servant
for the people. Alam says as a proud veteran I have served the country, now I
am ready to serve you. I would love to give back to the community and serve the
people in our state.
After graduating high school Alam attended National
University and earned first BS in Biology in ‘96. While attending National
University, Alam became one of youngest National student leaders in
the Southern Division of Bangladesh. Alam became the Presidential Delegate of
Bangladesh in 1992. Alam’s student Politics & such high scale political
involvement inspired him earning his 2nd BA in Political Science from National
University in ‘97.
96-99 Alam was hired as a High school Science teacher and
taught in a Divisional Police School in Bangladesh where his home town in Khulna. In 1997-1998 Alam went to a Law school but was not able
to finish it up due to the teaching job and the political activities. In ‘99Alam
went back to school to finishing up his MS in Biology. Alam attended MS in Dhaka College; however in April of 2000 he joined in the United States
Army. Alam completed his Basic Training at Ft Knox, KY and AIT at
Ft Lee VA. Alam was awarded many medals and Ribbons: Army Achievement Medal,
Army Good Conduct Medal, Army National Defense Service Medal, Global War on
Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on
Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon and many
letters of Recommendations as well as many different awards.
Alam was very active within the Army Community
Services, Family Readiness Groups and Army Community Ethnic Enrichment
Programs. Alam was highly motivated & dedicated NCO, was honorably
discharged after the Iraq war. In ‘05 Alam finished 1st Graduate Degree MS in
Military science. In ‘07 Alam earned 2nd Graduate degree in Management
Information System. In ‘10 Alam earned 3rd Graduate Degree 'MA in Mathematics'
and 'High School Mathematics Teacher Certification'. Currently Alam is working
on PhD in Computer Information at University
of North Texas Denton. Alam’s goal is to bring hope to our children a better
Mathematical Achievement and have a movement in Mathematics and education in-term
of Curriculum designing. Alam will ban Cell Phones in schools. Using cell
phones in classroom is failing our students. Alam believes in “Trans-formative
Intellectuality, Force for Change, Hope over Fear, education for a Lifetime of
Learning”. Alam says “Education is the key to success”.
Alam was the first politician predicted President Obama’s Nobel Peace prize. On January 20, 2009Alam predicted “Obama will be the most popular person and will be the winner of Nobel Prize”. When asked how Alam predicted the fact, Alam answered it is my 20 years of political experience and having knowledge in the current global affairs. Alam is the most qualified candidate among all candidates cross the board in term of Education, Experience and top niche political involvement.
