MD Rabbi Alam is known as MD.  MD Alam is the National Chairman of US National Democratic Party Asian American Caucus. Alam established 27 state chapters of Asian American Democratic Caucus. Alam is a DNC-NDECC Member. Alam is the founder of Missouri Democratic Party Asian American Caucus. MDPAAC is a statewide political organization. Alam established 11 county chapters of MDPAAC in MO. Alam is the President of North American Bangladeshi Association for Bangladesh. Alam is involved with many activities and communities based services. Alam served as the Executive Secretary of the Santa Fee Elementary PTA in Kansas City. Alam was the President of the Board of directors of Loma Vista west. Alam is the CEO of Minority Directed Small Business. Alam served in the Kansas City Property Maintenance Appeal Board as a Board of Member. Alam is a Board member of The Kansas City News. Alam is the President of Urban American Academy school board. Currently Alam is a substitute teacher at Derrick Thomas Academy in Kansas City. Alam is a veteran of Iraq war, served in Germany and traveled to 48 countries.

During 2008 Presidential election Alam worked as satellite campaign manager for Obama in Kansas City area. Alam’s business suite was Campaign Office for Obama. Alam’s political involvement, last seven years of activities in the Democratic Party Asian American Caucus have brought an unparalleled leadership in the great state Missouri. Last seven years Alam attended all most every single event state & Nation-wide. Alam’s goal is to serve and be a great servant for the people. Alam says as a proud veteran I have served the country, now I am ready to serve you. I would love to give back to the community and serve the people in our state.

After graduating high school Alam attended National University and earned first BS in Biology in ‘96. While attending National University, Alam became one of youngest National student leaders in the Southern Division of Bangladesh. Alam became the Presidential Delegate of Bangladesh in 1992. Alam’s student Politics & such high scale political involvement inspired him earning his 2nd BA in Political Science from National University in ‘97.

96-99 Alam was hired as a High school Science teacher and taught in a Divisional Police School in Bangladesh where his home town in Khulna. In 1997-1998 Alam went to a Law school but was not able to finish it up due to the teaching job and the political activities. In ‘99Alam went back to school to finishing up his MS in Biology. Alam attended MS in Dhaka College; however in April of 2000 he joined in the United States Army. Alam completed his Basic Training at Ft Knox, KY and AIT at Ft Lee VA. Alam was awarded many medals and Ribbons: Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Army National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon and many letters of Recommendations as well as many different awards.

Alam was very active within the Army Community Services, Family Readiness Groups and Army Community Ethnic Enrichment Programs. Alam was highly motivated & dedicated NCO, was honorably discharged after the Iraq war. In ‘05 Alam finished 1st Graduate Degree MS in Military science. In ‘07 Alam earned 2nd Graduate degree in Management Information System. In ‘10 Alam earned 3rd Graduate Degree 'MA in Mathematics' and 'High School Mathematics Teacher Certification'. Currently Alam is working on PhD in Computer Information at University of North Texas Denton. Alam’s goal is to bring hope to our children a better Mathematical Achievement and have a movement in Mathematics and education in-term of Curriculum designing. Alam will ban Cell Phones in schools. Using cell phones in classroom is failing our students. Alam believes in “Trans-formative Intellectuality, Force for Change, Hope over Fear, education for a Lifetime of Learning”. Alam says “Education is the key to success”.

Alam was the first politician predicted President Obama’s Nobel Peace prize. On January 20, 2009Alam predicted “Obama will be the most popular person and will be the winner of Nobel Prize”. When asked how Alam predicted the fact, Alam answered it is my 20 years of political experience and having knowledge in the current global affairs. Alam is the most qualified candidate among all candidates cross the board in term of Education, Experience and top niche political involvement.

I urge you not to support SB 676 that would prohibit judicial consideration of religious, foreign or international law. The courts already have processes in place that protect constitutional rights. The legislative branch has no authority to tell the judicial branch how to do its job. Finally, such legislation threatens the proper recognition of foreign marriages, foreign adoptions, and international business transactions. Please uphold the constitutional values of separation of church and state, the right to engage in contracts, and the separation of powers. Vote NO on SB 676.

MD Alam has been a great grassroot leader in Kansas City. Here is a brief info about MD Alam's Community based activities and involvement. Soon after MD's friend Tony Singh (http://wikieducator.org/Tony_Singh) killed in a robbery accident in South Kansas City in a local convienent store (7-11) on March 17' 2010, MD Alam been working hard to establish the Lagecy of his friend Tony Singh. It was not just the Lagecy of Tony Singh, but the movement to make the convienent stores working environment safer. MD Alam demand to the busniess community to increase the safety and security of the employees especially during the night shift hours. The push MD Alam made is known by Tony Singh Bill. MD Alam and his grassroot team are able to collect about 40,000 signature state-wide. MD Alam is working hard and calling Townhall meeting after Townhall Meeting. MD Alam has gained a momentum to creating a safe community by influencing the concern citizen. MD Alam is also involved Anti-Crime Movement which is called Kansas City Standing Against Crime and creating awareness to the citizens. MD Alam is helping the community to educate about the safety and security of citiens. According to the FBI reports Kansas City has a one of the top 8 highest rate for homiecides, in about every 50-55 hours at least one person got shoot and killed in 2010. It is a matter of fact that Kansas City need especial attention to make it as saffer city. MD's involvement of community activities was a great tool for him to gain community based support to run for this city council election. MD Alam been meeting with community leaders, politicians, elected officials including the City Mayor, Council Members, County Legislatures, States Legislatures including Governot Jay Nixon. It is noted that MD Alam met with Missouri Attorney General to discuss the Safety and security issues. MD Alam met with both of the senators several time to discuss the issues. MD alam and his team members visited Governor's office several times. Many politicians, elected officials and community leaderships attended several Townhall meeting hosted by MD Alam to discuss crime, violence and homicides. MD Alam is also working on the Economic Development of Historic Bannister area in South Kansas City. The movement MD Alam is pushing for Bannister mall area is known by "Bring Back bannister - A Project of MD Alam". MD Alam been meeting with local groups especially the South Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Austin Living Trust, Three Trails Development, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, MDPAAC Business Community Association, Asian American Caucus, MAS (Muslims American Association), Egyptian Community Development, North American Bangladeshi Association, South East Asian Chamber of Commarce, Indian Chamber of Commerce, Mid-west Sikh Community, Loma Vista West Townhouses Developmet and Corporation, Kansas City Community Affairs, and many neighborhood association.

MD Alam has served in the US Army and a Vetearn of Iraq War. MD Alam is a high school Mathematics teacher who is giving back to the community. As always MD Alam says, I have served the Country Proudly, and now I am reday to serve the Community, Serve the State and Serve You.
